Business Networking on the Web – Operating Guidelines

I. Purpose: For members to gain and maintain a competitive business advantage by the more efficient and effective use of internet and social networking tools, and sharing business referrals among a small group of familiar and trusted high value business leaders, always focusing on the betterment of clients and customers.

II. Group Membership
A. Limited to Capital City Club and Cardinal Club members in good standing who are senior level business development representatives of organizations with proven track records of high value and integrity who:
1. Want to grow their businesses through giving and getting referrals.
2. Provide products and/or services valued by most businesses.
3. Knows or can gain access to key buying decision makers.
B. New Members
1. Any member may recommend a new member to the group.
2. No direct competitors to existing members.
3. New members must be approved by a majority of the members of the group present at a meeting. The recommended member will not be in attendance at the approval meeting.
C. Target group size is <30 members.

III. Organization
A. Group Facilitators
1. Handle administration and manage meetings.
2. Martin Brossman and Whit Hill are the current facilitators.
B. There are no committees. All members have equal responsibilities and authority.
IV. Referrals: May be shared during the meeting, but are encouraged to be given between meetings and when fresh.
V. Dues: None – collections to be taken for any agreed upon expenditures.

VI. Meetings
A. Place: Capital City Club unless otherwise agreed to by the group.
B. Frequency & Time: 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM.
1. Members are expected to arrive early enough to be seated and ready to start on time.
2. First 2009 Meeting Date – 6 Jan 09
C. Time & Agenda – One hour Meeting
1. One Minute Introductions (if new members or guests)
2. Unfinished business
3. Two minute member updates
a. Request for specific referral or describe what you are trying to accomplish
b. Request for help in a specific area of business expertise
c. Educational information for group that highlights expertise
4. Facilitator presentation
5. Lead sharing
6. Adjourn meeting
